Beyond business, Facebook groups are a great way to really connect with your community and build a relationship with the people.
But how do you bring ideal people into your Facebook community that are will actually turn into customers, clients and team mates?
I’m going to share 10 ways to grow your Facebook group community so that you can fill your groups with ideal people, and have them begging to get in!

Have you created your first facebook group. You expected like minded people to just flock to your group as soon as you got it up.
You have your beautiful cover photo, group rules and questions to get in are up and its looking great.
Still nothing. Absolutely crickets.
No one is begging to be in your community.
Now you wonder why you spent all that time making the group, because it isn’t working!!
The cool thing is…
There are plenty of simple strategies to grow your facebook group.
How would you like to have people begging to get in?
Name your group using searchable words
What are your people searching for when they would be looking for your niche group?
That is what it needs to be named.
By naming your group using words “your people” would be searching will help your group show up in search results and will grow your group with the right people!
Add your FB group link to all your social media bios
On most social media platforms there is a place you can put clickable links. This is going to give people who visit your profile an easy way to find your group.
Facebook personal profiles has updated the featured photo area and you are able to link your facebook group there, putting it in the spotlight!
If you have multiple links and you don’t fill like your FB group deserves to be the only link you can use Linktr.ee for free and you can add multiple links there, and put your linktr.ee link on your social media bios!
Put your Facebook Group link in your email signature.
A simple strategy to gain new members on autopilot is to put your facebook group link in your email signature. This way every single email you send will be an opportunity to gain a new member.
Send Messages Inviting people to be in your facebook group.
Never just ADD people to your facebook group without sending them a message inviting them to be a part of the community.
Truth is you don’t want everyone in your group. Only the ones that want to be there.
The right people.
Your target audience.
The ones who will engage with your posts, that will opt-in for freebies, spend their hard earned money with you and who will invite their friends.
How and Who to send Messages to on Facebook?
– GO through your friends list and find people who’ll be relevant to your groups purpose.
– Invite them t your facebook group by telling them who your groups is for, what its purpose is and why your group stands out.
– Put the link in the message so they can easily access it.
This is the simplest and great alternative to adding people to your group without permission.
You’ll begin to see people request to join your group and you’ll start gaining momentum.
Create a pinterest graphic for your facebook group
Dude, 300 million active monthly users roaming pinterest every month. That is a lot of people!!
Make a cute graphic or a graphic that represents your brand and facebook group and add the direct link to your facebook group.
I use canva and recommend them for your basic graphic design needs. It’s simple and makes me look way better at graphic design then I am!
Link your group to your facebook page
The use of facebook business pages has become almost a thing of the past because of the huge decline in organic reach.
Facebook pages are still very beneficial for your business to have a facebook page for several reasons.
However, they have proven to be an excellent way to promote facebook groups by linking your group to your FB page.
With a simple google search you can walk yourself through each step. Super simple!
Sprinkle your facebook group link all over your website
There are sooo many areas on your website where you can leave your link that goes directly to your group.
Your website is going to be one of the best ways to get the IDEAL new group members.
WHY?
Because they are already interested in your content. They’ll rush over to your new group without thinking twice.
Places to add your Facebook group link:
– Your homepage
– Top of navigation menu
– Footer menu
– Your about you page
– You contact page
– At the end of each blog post
– Your sites Sidebar
Notice I use “learn more” and that takes the user straight to the facebook group.
Promote your group in FACEBOOK Lives or in your videos
Having a Facebook live schedule and go live at least once a week is what I recommend. I do mine every Tuesday mornings t 10:30 am EST.
I always put a plug in for my Facebook group Messy Buns and Business, or my Hot & Healthy fb group!
That’s another great way to bring awareness to your community and grow your Facebook group.
Add the link to your posts in your social media content schedule.
At least 1 post per week should be about your group!!
Maybe you just make your audience curious about what it is you are doing in the group.
Or maybe you are straight up marketing a specific training that is happening inside the group.
To tag your group in a post just type the @ and the name of your group. Don’t put a space between the @ and your group name.

Use your Freebies to grow your Facebook Group Community
Every weekly LIVE video I do on my facebook page, I tell my audience I have a gift for them. It is the written show notes from that training.
This prevents them from having to rewatch, or take their own notes.
I keep the written show notes inside the files section of my group!! BOOM!!!! Mind blown.
The CTA is for them to drop the key word “Liz List” in the comments and I will message them where to get the show notes!!
If you’re also giving your audience value via freemiums then you will want to put a link to your Facebook group at the end of the page.
