Simple Steps to Goal Setting

1. Dream Big - Make a Wish List - BRAIN DUMP!

Create a wish list for any category. Personal Life, Business, Lifetime, 3 years, 1 year, 3 months.

Here is how I do it:
Set a time for 5 minutes, write down as many ideas that come to mind. Pretend the paper is magic and everything you write down comes to true.  

Think of this is a wish list on how you want your life to be like, look like and feel like. 

Ask yourself, “if anything is possible, what would my life look like?”

Write everything down, even if mid sentence you change your mind, keep writing because more ideas will start to flow. This is the first step to Setting Goals.

2. Prioritize - Break it down - Chop it up!

NOW that you have your brain dump, set another timer for 1 minute.

Go back to each category and circle 1 goal that would have he most positive impact on your life. 


Lets talk about how to get super clarity on what exactly needs done to make these priority goals done!


How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Now I have never eaten elephant, but I know how I would get the job done. 

If there was a deadline I would count how many days from start to finish I had to eat this elephant. 

Then I would find out how much the elephant weighed. 
After that a simple math calculation would tell me how much weight of the elephant I needed to eat each day. Id some every single day.

So a quarter lb a day of elephant will beat out someone who pigs out day one, feels like shit on day two, day three they are scared to eat elephant because they know how shitty they will feel. Day 4 is used to get them self pumped up to eat more elephant, day 5 they eat some elephant/ So now we have all these wasted days with no elephant being eaten.
Meanwhile I am eating a quarter lb a day, every day and I am kicking your ass at getting the elephant eaten. 

So take your big goals and shop them up into, monthly, weekly and daily action steps. A little bit a day baby!!!!

3. Create your first Action Plan - work at it.

Your first action plan is kind of like a roadmap to where you are going. Start with 1 of the goals you picked that will have the biggest impact on your life. 

On a blank piece of paper, write that goal in the center with an end date on when you want this to happen by. 

Set a time for 5 minutes and write down all of the action steps that are necessary to achieve this goal. The more details the better. 

Add specifics: Assign due dates for each action step. Be very very specific with what exactly needs done.

Create a timeline: number the tasks is the order they need completed.

Make deadlines: Write the action steps due dates and schedule into your weekly planner. Use the dates as check points to keep you on track. 

Work at it: Be consistent, do the things even when you don’t feel like it. WHen shit shoes up to distract you, acknowledge it and keep going. 

4. Reflect and Repeat - step to goal setting

At the end of each week, or month check in with yourself to see what is working and what isn’t working. 
How is your progress. Are you still on track for the end time, are you ahead of schedule? 

Is this still something you want to make happen. Whats next?

Use these steps over and over again to make your dreams become your reality!

Look at the big picture and imagine the journey getting  you there.
Manage your time, or your time will manage you.
