2 Reasons Why You Should Share Your Story
ok, so hold up! Before we get into 2 reasons why you have to share your story.
REMEMBER this….at the end of the day the person you are talking to, your audience, prospective customer or client DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. They care about What YOU can do for THEM!
So, when we go through the 2 benefits of sharing our story, we have to keep that in mind.
We need to learn how to share our story from their perspective.
“I DON’T HAVE RAGS TO RICHES STORY. PEOPLE CAN RELATE TO THAT. I WAS TIRED OF MISSING OUT ON THE PEOPLE AND THE THINGS THAT MEAN THE MOST TO ME IN LIFE.”
There are two cool AF things that your story will do, if you done effectively. These two things are worth writing down and sharing with someone else you know who also wants someone to buy their products, services or work with them.
Why should I share my story tip #1
1. Your story helps you to relate to the person. You will connect with people through your story, your problems, and your wins!
This will help the person you are speaking to see themselves in you. Your story tells them about a problem you faced and how your products, service or business was the solution to that problem.
And possibly THEY have the exact same problem or can relate!
It’s going to take lots of practice. I am work on mine everytime I go live, when someone asks me what I do, I practice my story. GO back and watch my videos from when I first started going live on this business page. OHHH BOY!
When you can get the person to relate to you or feel like they are similar to you, it’s going to open the door for you to share your message and make them more receptive. It connects them to you on an emotional level!

2. Your story helps you create curiosity as to what you do. If Im coaching you, you know this goes along with Why you Should Brand Yourself, Not Your Company.
You’re not giving them all the details! So, they think to themselves, “Hmmmm….I have a similar issue as her. I wonder exactly how it is she accomplished this.”
YOUR PROSPECT, AT THE END OF THE DAY, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. THEY CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THEM!

Facts Tell, Stories sell. You don’t want to be salesy, and people don’t want to be sold to. We want to find customers or clients, business partners that get you, relate to you and is “your type of peep”.
Practice, work on it and don’t be afraid to use it in real life conversations.
