If you are building a personal brand this needs to be a picture of your smiling face. If you have been following me for some time, you know I am all about building that personal brand no matter what you are doing.
People want to see your face, and see you face without that damn snapchat filter, and goofy filter that smoothes your face so much you have no nose. People want to do business with people who look like them, no cartoon characters.
If you are seen in public they should be able to recognize you in person from what you look like online. How to Gain Trust on Social Media? Show up online and offline as the same person.

Storytelling is a great way for people to get to know you and really feel like they know you well.
Throw back thursdays are a quick way to get people to feel like they know you and know you well. It usually can trigger an emotion from them also. Maybe laughter, a smile, tears or often they can relate to you and where you are coming from. This is another great simple way to Gain Trust on Social Media.
Create High value content
Creating your own content with things you like, love and know about is a sure fire way to get your audience to learn more about you, like you, and trust you. Maybe you are giving them advice, tips or tricks. Or maybe you are sharing with them a beautiful picture of the sunset, or the blanket you just knitted.
By creating your own content with value will for sure build trust and people will be throwing their credit card at your face before you know it.

Show up as yourself. Be vulnerable by sharing stories, valuable content and your smiling face. Don’t try and be like anyone else, they are already taken. Show up as YOU!
